The ideal candidate will handle employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, PERM, naturalization, and related matters, working closely with clients and support teams to manage complex cases and deadlines. Responsibilities include preparing petitions, advising on various visa categories, and ensuring effective case management.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of business immigration experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission and good standing with the Oregon State Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
• Experience with employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant matters, PERM applications, and naturalization.
• Family-based immigration experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions with USCIS, PERM applications with DoL, and visa applications with the DOS.
• Handle business immigration matters involving H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN/USMCA, business visitors, treaty traders/investors, and student visas.
• Manage employment-based immigrant matters, including NIW, multinational managers/executives, and outstanding researchers/professors.
• Advise clients on family-based immigration, marriage-based applications, naturalization, and I-9 compliance.
• Conduct legal research, prepare client presentations, interpret complex immigration regulations, and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
