Pensacola State College invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Biology Instructor position with an anticipated start date of January 2027. The successful candidate will teach non-major and major Biology courses and labs, emphasizing anatomy & physiology and/or microbiology, while advising students and serving on committees.

The role requires strong communication, curriculum development, and dedication to the college mission, with multiple campus; day, evening, and distance-learning

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biology with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.
• Background check required.
• Doctoral degree preferred with post-secondary teaching experience.

Responsabilités

• Teach non-major and major Biology courses and labs with emphasis in anatomy & physiology and/or microbiology.
• Advise a diverse student body and participate in departmental and college committees.
• Participate in curriculum development and textbook selection.
• Assess student learning outcomes and support retention initiatives.
• Engage in service and professional development activities.
• Handle multiple campus, day, evening, and distance-learning assignments.
