Pensacola State College invites applications for a Biology Instructor position on a 9-month, tenure-track basis beginning January 2027. The role involves teaching non-major and major biology courses and labs with emphasis in anatomy and physiology and/or microbiology, along with advising and service responsibilities.

The successful candidate will prepare curricula, monitor student progress, participate in committees, and contribute to retention initiatives and textbook selection.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field with 18 graduate credit hours.
• Doctoral degree in Biology preferred for advanced teaching.
• Successful background check as required by policy.

Responsabilidades

• Teach non-major and major biology courses and labs.
• Emphasis in anatomy and physiology and/or microbiology.
• Prepare course plans and deliver content effectively.
• Monitor attendance and student progress; advise diverse students.
• Participate in committees, curriculum development, and program assessment.
• Support retention efforts and textbook selection; assess learning outcomes.
• Engage in professional development and service activities.
• Possible assignments across multiple campuses and times.
