Job summary

Margaritaville Resort Casino - Bossier City, La. is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve beverages following standard recipes while delivering exceptional guest service. You will work across casino floor areas, maintaining stock and coordinating with bar staff to ensure beverage availability.

The role requires basic math and cash handling skills, the ability to stand long hours, and the stamina to operate in a fast-paced, sometimes smoky environment. Previous beverage experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous beverage experience preferred; Six months to one year of cocktail experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Must have basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods throughout the duration of shift.
• Must obtain Bossier ABO and LACT.
• Mobility and dexterity to carry and serve a tray of beverages weighing 15 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverages following standard practices and recipes while providing guests with exceptional customer service.
• Sets up designated area of the floor with ashtrays and cup holders as needed and checks for trash.
• Circulates the floor giving attention to Table Games and Slots or assigned section.
• Keeps informed of promotional beverages, events, and services.
• Reports to scheduled shift in proper uniform.
• Pays bartender the correct amount for drinks if required in the assigned section or outlet.
• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed.
