Job summary

Youngsville Elementary is seeking a part-time Site Coordinator for the Before and After School Child Care Program. The role oversees day-to-day operations, supervises assistants, and ensures a safe, orderly learning environment for school-age children.

You will work closely with the Principal and County Coordinator, maintain discipline policies, and provide homework help and engaging activities. CPR/First Aid training is required, and duties include early release and teacher workday planning.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise and work effectively with parents, students, school staff, administrators, and central office staff.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Background in public or private child care and/or experience with school-age children.
• Ability to follow, implement, and maintain State guidelines for Child Care Centers in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the Before and After School Child Care Program Assistants.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the program at the designated school.
• Manage issues with staff, parents, children, and teachers and coordinate with the County Coordinator.
• Provide a curriculum with at least four activities daily (excluding snack).
• Take attendance, monitor sign-in/out sheets, and follow purchasing procedures within budget.
