Job summary

Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa is seeking a capable Bartender to maintain bar supplies, know liquor offerings, and handle cash transactions accurately. You will interact with guests, anticipate needs, and ensure a positive experience in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Training on liquor liability is provided within 30 days of hire and every two years.

• Able to work in high pressure and fast paced situations.
• May be required to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently maintain bar supplies, including preparation of daily requisition.
• Familiar with different kinds of liquor, recipes, prices, glassware, and garnishes.
• Know drink recipes, prices and type of beverages available.
• Handle cash accurately using MICROS system or registers; manage discounts and tips.
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Complete liquor liability training within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
