Job summary

Kalaveras Inc. is seeking a high-energy bartender to serve classic cocktails and new beverages, greet guests, learn preferences, and upsell items. You will also assist with food service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

The successful candidate will have a neat appearance, engaging personality, strong math and POS skills, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior bartender experience preferred.
• Must meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails and beverage preparation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, read and listen to determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders.
• Inform customers about new beverages and specials.
• Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, balance cash register.
• Maintain a clean work and dining area, wash glasses and equipment.
