Qualifications

• Alcohol service certification a plus.
• Basic mathematical skills; handle money and give correct change.
• Basic reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Multi-task oriented.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from serving staff or guests.
• Check identification to verify age for alcohol.
• Communicate with guests clearly and enthusiastically.
• Make guests feel appreciated.
• Count drinks served.
• Offer assistance proactively.
• Work as a team with staff to ensure efficient service.
• Collect payment for drinks served.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serve wine, beer (bottled or draft).
• Limit problems related to intoxication and arrange transportation if needed.
• Prep bar ingredients and stock garnishes.
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment; restock glassware.
• Balance cash drawer at end of shift.
• Other duties as directed.
