Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas is seeking a Bartender to prepare and serve beverages, greet guests, and contribute to a welcoming bar environment in a busy urban hotel.

The role requires 1+ year bartender experience, knowledge of cocktails and POS systems, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting; certifications preferred; position includes lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bartending certification preferred (where applicable).
• Minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.
• Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
