Job summary

Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront is seeking an attentive bartender/server to provide beverages and food service to guests in a courteous and timely manner. You will greet guests, document drink orders, mix and present beverages per recipes, and maintain a clean bar area daily.

Qualifications

• Must know state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic math skills to operate a cash register, make change, total checks and perform cash drops.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Manual dexterity to garnish, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, and mix drinks.
• Ability to understand product labeling and ensure safe usage.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment (e.g., coffee maker).
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and document orders for drinks, serve beverages to guests.
• Mix, garnish and present drinks following standard recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain bar setup and stock beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
• Handle cash, balance registers and secure bank deposits.
• Answer bar phone, take room service orders, and input them into POS.
• Ensure health standards through daily cleaning and safety procedures.
• Assist other beverage staff as needed.
