Job summary

Wheelhouse Credit Union in San Diego seeks a Universal Service Representative I Floater to support multiple branches with special projects, peak times, and vacancies across locations. This role opens new accounts, processes and funds consumer loans, and performs teller and vault transactions while advocating for members and referring them to suitable products.

Knowledge of BSA/CIP and strong service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one (1) or more years of related experience and/or training in a financial institution performing a full range of Teller, new account, and operations functions.
• Requires strong sales, and service skills.
• Minimum of six months of experience in consumer lending preferred.
• Professional and effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to address problems and situations by utilizing procedures and other resources within the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and on-line computer core processing system.
• Must be eligible to become an individual endorsee under the business entity license of Wheelhouse Credit Union held with the California Department of Insurance. Will be required to complete an individual application for insurance and an affidavit of training and knowledge.
• Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships are essential.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
• Knowledge and understanding of the mission and vision of the Credit Union. Strictly adhere to the Credit Union's policy of confidentiality, security, professional conduct and dress.
• Support Business Development at onsite events and/or Marketing efforts within the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various departments/branches with special projects, peak times, and vacancies due to vacations, call outs, leave of absence or turnover.
• Open new accounts, process and fund all consumer loans, and perform teller and vault transactions.
• Maintain member relationships and refer members to appropriate products and services.
• Handle account updates, fraud and error resolution; stay current on BSA and CIP programs and processes.
