Job summary

You will set up microphones, speakers, lighting, and control systems, and collaborate with directors to coordinate cues and feeds. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of AV and maintenance experience, with basic writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus advanced vocational training, and two years of experience in audio visual and general building maintenance or construction.
• Professional certification and license may be required by State and/or municipality regulations.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, and recording equipment for events.
• Set up and operate sound equipment and spotlights.
• Coordinate audio feeds with television images and monitor sound quality.
• Test and resolve equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and ensure safe handling and transfer of equipment.
• Confer with directors to establish cues and directions and educate venue staff on proper use.
