Job summary

Five-Star AudioVisual, Inc. is seeking a part-time AV technician in San Diego to support event production. You will set up, operate, and strike AV systems, ensuring high-quality sound, video, and lighting for luxury hospitality events.

The role requires at least one year in AV, strong customer service, and the ability to work a varied schedule. Training and career growth opportunities are provided within a boutique environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s experience in the AV industry.
• Advanced knowledge of AV set-ups and strikes.
• Background in customer service or hospitality.
• Certification in AV technology or related courses (preferred).
• Audio equipment such as microphones and speakers basics.
• Video equipment including LCD/LED projectors and monitors.
• Lighting equipment basics for events.
• Proficiency with PC and Mac software.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service at events.
• Assist with day-to-day AV office operations following company policies.
• Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for client functions.
• Continuously improve AV skills and knowledge.
• Maintain positive relations with hotel accounts and staff.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and with clients.
• Use the company software for operations and scheduling.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
