Job summary

Five-Star AudioVisual, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a part-time AV assistant to support daily office tasks, equipment setup and strike, and exceptional client service for luxury hospitality events.

This role requires at least one year in AV, knowledge of AV setups/strikes, and strong communication skills. Certification in AV technology is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in the AV industry.
• Experience with AV set-ups and strikes.
• Background in customer service or hospitality required.
• Certification in AV technology or related courses preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Significantly contribute to the effective management of day-to-day operations according to company procedures.
• Timely and accurate set-up and strike of equipment for client functions according to company guidelines.
• Continually increase audiovisual skills and knowledge.
• Maintain and cultivate positive public relations with Hotel account.
• Maintain positive employee relations, strong team-player orientation, and communication standards.
• Effectively utilize the company's business software.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Plan ahead and manage multiple projects.
• Other related duties as required or assigned
