Job summary

Green Chimneys in Carmel, NY seeks a Clearpool Assistant Principal to provide strong, consistent leadership to the Education Department for grades 3-8, collaborating with all Education team members and coordinating with Brewster campus and agency stakeholders.

Requires a Master’s degree in Education, minimum 5 years of school leadership experience, and at least 3 years supervisory experience; NY State School Administration Certification or ability to obtain within six years.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible school experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory/administrative experience.
• Experience in special education and/or 853 school.
• Knowledge of NYS Special Education practices and policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in all classrooms and buildings, HR activities related to staffing.
• Primary Parent contact after classroom staff.
• Work with school leadership to build and maintain the education program.
• Coordinate state and other assessments.
• Other duties as assigned.
