Job summary

Urbandale Community School District is seeking an Assistant High School Boys Track Coach to lead the program under the supervision of the Director of Athletics & Activities. You will develop practice plans, set yearly goals for the team, and model the values of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork for student-athletes.

Responsibilities include coaching, enforcing rules, coordinating with staff, and ensuring safety during practices and contests.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching high school track or similar athletic programs.
• Ability to teach proper form, strategy and conditioning.
• Knowledge of safety practices and injury prevention.
• Effective communication with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to ethics and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Develop practice plans and set season goals.
• Promote sportsmanship at events and practices.
• Ensure safety and well-being of athletes.
• Maintain program records and equipment logistics.
