Job summary

City of Goodyear is seeking a Recreation Programmer in Aquatics to assist in coordinating and promoting a variety of aquatic and recreational programs. The role involves pool supervision, data management for rentals and field allocations, and overseeing part-time staff.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in aquatics, strong leadership and customer service skills, and proficiency with recreation software.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in the aquatics field coordinating programs such as swim lessons, swim team and lifeguard management.
• Proficiency in recreation software utilization.
• Current 2-Star StarGuard Lifeguard Instructor Certification and Starfish Swim Instructor Trainer Certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate, promote, implement and evaluate recreational activities across specialty program areas.
• Assist with managing the pool including supervision of the facility and patrons (seasonally).
• Oversee part-time and seasonal staff and monitor recreation facilities.
• Assist in data input and management related to facility rentals, ramada reservations, and field allocations.
