Job summary

The North Carolina Aquariums on Roanoke Island seeks a dynamic Special Events Coordinator to plan and run a year‑round schedule of events, on‑site and off‑site, including weddings and corporate rentals. You will handle AV setup, staging, and coordination with vendors to promote the aquarium and generate revenue.

This role requires collaboration with all departments, budgeting input, and client interaction to interpret exhibits for event guests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from appropriately accredited institution.
• One year of experience related to the area of assignment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Works cohesively with all departments and manages all designated after business hour events.
• Directs the collection of fiscal data including rental and event revenue.
• Interprets Aquarium exhibits to rental clients.

Education
