Job summary

Innovation Learning Inc. is hiring a Head Coach for our school-based after-school program in Aurora. The part-time role runs Monday through Friday with morning and afternoon shifts, focusing on safe, engaging activities and positive youth development.

You will lead daily operations, supervise staff, build strong relationships with families and school partners, ensure compliance with state regulations, and create a welcoming environment for children while promoting resilience and life skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, or related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students.
• Facilitate enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming program environment.
• Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
• Supervise and support site staff.
• Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members.
• Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
• Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs.
• Represent the organization professionally within the school community.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate program records and documentation.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns.
