Job summary

YMCA Columbus in Powell, OH is seeking a dynamic after-school teacher for our youth program. You will oversee daily activities, prepare learning materials, and assist students with homework to promote growth across social, physical, and intellectual domains.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with diverse teams, and adherence to safety policies. Part-time position with opportunities for training and role-modeling positive youth development.

Qualifications

• Experience with after-school programs preferred.
• Ability to plan daily activities and assist with homework.
• Must follow safety policies and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares site daily for arrival of children and maintains organization during program time.
• Attends staff meetings and safety trainings; maintains required training hours.
• Maintains written records and reports as required on individual children; ensures compliance with licensing and YMCA standards.
• Works at other Y Club locations when needed to maintain ratios.
• Completes required documents and tracking as designated by the director.
• Assists with curriculum planning, newsletters, and special events.
