Job summary

Huntley Park District is seeking a part-time Beyond the Bell Activity Leader to support elementary school programs across District 158 locations. You will help plan activities, supervise children, and ensure safety under the Site Supervisor and Youth and Early Childhood Recreation Manager.

The role requires the ability to work five days a week, be 16 years or older, and obtain First-Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days. Reliable transportation is essential for traveling between sites.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: must be 16 years or older and able to obtain First-Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days.
• Reliability and ability to transport to multiple district sites.
• Ability to work five weekdays and supervise children in activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities for before/after school programs (arts, crafts, outdoor activities, sports, games, field trips).
• Supervise and interact with children at all times.
• Notify Site Supervisor of needed supplies (e.g., snacks).
• Prepare accident and behavior forms.
• Keep sites clean daily and report unsafe conditions.
• Serve as a mandated reporter under Illinois law and complete required training.
