Job summary

Chesterwood Senior Living in West Chester, Ohio is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and deliver engaging activities for residents in an independent and assisted living setting.

You will work with the Activity Department to run group and 1:1 activities, contribute to the activity calendar, assist with meals, events, outings, and document participation.

The role supports residents’ psychosocial and emotional well-being and requires good communication and a caring attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery.
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others.
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities, which are essential to the total wellbeing of our Residents.
• Provides insight with the activity calendar and provides activities to meet the needs of the residents
• Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attends outings – operates bus lift and all other bus equipment.
• Attends Team Member meetings as needed
• Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Documents activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• All other duties specified by the Supervisor.

Facility is currently looking for an ACTIVITY ASSISTANT. Come join our team as an Activity Assistant at our state of the art, Independent & Assisted living facility. The position provides activities to the facility residents with the goal to promote the psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents, families and staff.
