Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct the resident activity program and maintain documentation.
• Organize both individual and group activities for residents with varying needs.
• Complete MDS Section E timely and accurately; develop activities component of the Comprehensive Care Plan.
• Prepare monthly calendar and post for residents; create the facility newsletter.
• Coordinate at least two off-site activities per month; participate in community events.
• Recruit, orient, and supervise volunteers; participate in QA meetings and monthly QA reports.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

60 semester hours from an accredited college or university

Completed an activities director's course

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of full-time experience with elderly people or people with disabilities
