Job summary

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; alternative combinations in the state rules apply.
• Bachelors degree + 1 year elderly/disability human service experience.
• 60 semester hours + 2 years elderly/disability experience.
• Complete an activities director's course with two years’ related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct the resident activity program and documentation.
• Organize individual and group activities for residents of varying functioning levels.
• Complete section E of the MDS timely and accurately; develop activity components of care plans.
• Prepare annual assessments for activity components and resident records.
• Provide bedfast or one-to-one activities and document accordingly.
• Prepare monthly calendars and accessible newsletters for residents.
• Coordinate at least two off-site activities per month; participate in community events.
• Collaborate with Corporate Events Coordinator on facility events; recruit and supervise volunteers.
• Participate in QA meetings and Monthly QA reports.
