Job summary

Broadwaymanorcarecenter is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning, coordinating, conducting and implementing a therapeutic activity program for residents in our skilled nursing facility.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of SNF experience and a self-starting, outgoing personality to keep residents engaged. You will assist with daily activities, participate in outside events, help lead resident council meetings, and tailor programs to residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily activities for residents, keeping them engaged and motivated.
• Plan and participate in outside activities.
• Assist with monthly resident council meetings.
• Adapt recreation programs to meet residents' needs, interests and capabilities.
• Direct and organize activities to help residents develop social relationships and confidence.
