Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Teacher to provide instruction, monitor pupil progress, and maintain accurate records in assigned classes. Under the supervision of the principal, you will plan lessons, apply effective teaching methods, and communicate with parents about student progress; you may participate in field trips and after-school activities.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the Illinois State Board of Education teaching certification.
• License Requirements: Must possess a valid ISBE teaching license (PEL or ELS) for this position.
• Knowledge, abilities and skill: familiarity with state certification requirements and contemporary teaching practices.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and to work with families and staff.
• Skill in teaching methods, communication, and professional judgment.
