The teacher will design engaging lessons, utilize Michigan Standards, collaborate with colleagues, and communicate regularly with families to support student growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Valid MI teaching certificate with endorsement for the subject area.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
• Evidence of meeting highly qualified requirements as defined by NCLB.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Michigan standards.
• Differentiate instruction using technology.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies.
• Support students who are behind or struggling.
• Collaborate with teachers to improve learning.
• Communicate with students and parents about progress.
• Establish clear objectives for learning activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline per school policy.
• Utilize assessments to inform daily instruction.
• Create classroom assessments showing student proficiency.
