State Street Academy in Bay City, Michigan, is seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher with Michigan Teacher Certification and endorsement to join our K-11 charter school family. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom where students develop critical thinking through inquiry and collaboration.

You will design engaging, standards-based lessons, assess learning, and collaborate with staff to align curricula while maintaining open communication with families and the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Michigan teaching certification with endorsement in the appropriate grade level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Commitment to safe, engaging classroom environment.

State Street Academy is hiring a 2nd Grade Teacher to join the team. Must have Michigan Teacher Certification and endorsement.

State Street Academy is a K-11 charter school located in Bay City, Michigan. Our mission is to encourage students to do their personal best by offering education in a safe and caring environment. The curriculum prepares students to solve problems both individually and collaboratively, using critical thinking skills and cultivated through comparative, inter-displinary study.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team. The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to student development and a desire to foster a love for learning in young children.

Responsibilities :

Essential Duties:

• Develop and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.

• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.

• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.

• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.

• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students

• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff

• Regular and predictable attendance

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level.

• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
