Job summary

Vallejo City Unified School District is seeking a Teacher to deliver a standards-based educational program under the supervision of the School Site Principal. The teacher will be responsible for instruction across multiple subjects and support in district programs as assigned.

The ideal candidate will hold an appropriate credential, show respect for students and staff, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families, contributing to a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates respect and concern for students, parents, staff and administrators; open-minded, fair, consistent and emotionally stable.
• Ability to make decisions and perform duties according to district standards.

Responsibilities

• Teaches reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, health, art, physical education, music and citizenship using district curriculum.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to create a productive learning environment.
• Evaluates student progress, keeps records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with parents.
• Assists in other school programs as assigned and supports curriculum development.
