Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Dye Line Operator for the 2nd shift in Dalton, Georgia. You will monitor dye line equipment, adjust speeds, verify filters, and ensure continuous operation while upholding quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have dyeing department experience, can read schedules, follow SOPs, and lift up to 20 pounds. Must be able to work 8–12 hour shifts; Mohawk offers growth opportunities within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
• Prior experience working in a Dyeing department required, and/or equivalent combination of on the job training and work experience.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• May be required to use PC and other department specific database systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify Tank Runs
• Identify & verify filters are clean and clean as needed
• Monitor PLCs, computer screens & all set points
• Adjust Dye Line speeds as needed
• Monitor J boxes have enough product to run continuously
• Watch carpet for defects that might cause problems printing.
• Keeping an eye on Dyeing schedule for change over, etc.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
