Practice:

Homewood Veterinary Care officially opened as of October 2022! Previously Markham Animal Clinic, we outgrew our old facility and are very fortunate to have moved into a new, spacious, and beautiful hospital. We are an AAHA accredited practice and our team promotes modern medicine while also offering a great patient and client experience.

Our new facility offers 6 exam rooms, dedicated surgery and dental suites, state-of-the-art equipment, separate cat and dog areas (Fear Free of course!), and many other enhancements which will make it feel like home.

Position Purpose:

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.

Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.

Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
