Practice:

Oakton Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital that welcomes emergency treatment cases and pet patients needing routine medical, surgical, and dental care.

Our hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This professional organization requires that our hospital meet the highest standards of excellence for the practice of veterinary medicine and be inspected periodically to maintain our accreditation.

Position Purpose:

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program provides 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them be 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.

Externships are typically 2 weeks long, and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
