About the Practice

North Avenue Animal Hospital provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through both in-house testing and external laboratories. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, and a closely supervised hospitalization area. We utilize the latest technology, including anesthesia monitoring, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and electronic medical records. We also collaborate closely with local specialized practices for referrals.

Position Purpose

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program aims to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help them become 'practice ready' by their first day in practice. Externships typically last 2 weeks, and Heartland covers lodging costs if needed. The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation.
