We see dogs, cats, and exotics including reptiles, small mammals/pocket pets, furbearing animals, and birds. Our passion lies in diagnostics and surgery, utilizing laser therapy and ultrasound regularly in our treatment plans.

Position Purpose

Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program offers 1st-4th year veterinary students hands-on experience and mentorship to prepare them to be 'practice ready' from day one.

Externships typically last 2 weeks, and Heartland will cover lodging costs if needed. The length of the externship is flexible, and we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Must be able to provide student PLIT.
