Job summary

LG Electronics North America is seeking a Project Engineer II to lead on-site DVLED installations and serve as the technical authority with system integration teams, customers, and cross-functional partners.

You will drive complex installations from site visit to final sign-off, troubleshoot in real time, and ensure LG’s high‑quality standards are met across multiple locations with extensive travel.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands‑on DirectView LED installation experience.
• Working knowledge of DVLED technology, mounting systems, LED module handling, and installation best practices.
• Deep understanding of NovaStar and Megapixel LED display controllers, including configuration, commissioning, calibration, firmware management, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and design tools (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Visio).
• Strong ability to read and interpret A/V, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of IT, networking, and A/V system integration.
• Exceptional communication, time management, and decision‑making skills.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (75%).

Responsibilities

• Drive Project Success – Coordinate with Project Managers and System Integration Partners to ensure installations stay on schedule.
• Train Installation Teams – Provide installation and product operation training for system integrators and technicians.
• Serve as LG's Technical Expert – Act as the on‑site liaison between customers, sales teams, vendors, and integration partners.
• Solve Complex Challenges – Troubleshoot installation, configuration, and system integration issues with engineering teams.
• Ensure Site Readiness – Verify site conditions, infrastructure, safety requirements, and overall readiness before work begins.
• Validate Project Materials – Verify BOMs, shipping docs, and equipment prior to installation.
• Capture Project Progress – Maintain documentation, daily status reports, and technical findings.
• Champion Product Innovation – Provide insights that influence next‑gen DVLED product improvements.
• Represent LG at Industry Events – Support demonstrations, trade shows, and customer events.
• Provide Remote Technical Support – Assist customers with troubleshooting when onsite support is not required.
