Job summary

Wilson County Schools Federal Programs in Wilson, North Carolina seeks a Day Instructional Tutor to support Level Up Academy students. This part-time position reports to the Executive Director of Federal Programs and focuses on targeted intervention.

The ideal candidate holds an active North Carolina Teaching License and demonstrates effective instruction using current standards and data. Strong communication with teachers and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching standards and research-based teaching strategies.

• Active North Carolina Teaching License.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes student data and observations of student work to determine student needs.
• Plans daily intervention lessons that are based on student need and the NC Standard Course of Study.
• Facilitates engaging small group instruction for students.
• Maintains open communication with the student’s regular classroom teacher and their parent/guardian to ensure student needs are being met.
• Maintains records of student progress and attendance.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
