New Weds Foods in Chicago, IL seeks a packaging associate to dump ready-to-package product into the hopper and verify ingredients and batches with supervision on the packaging line.

You will operate packaging equipment, including scale and label printer, and assist with pallet loading, bagging, and paperwork while maintaining product integrity and packaging standards in a production area with strong aromas and dust.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year packaging experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate packaging equipment, including scale and label printer.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies ingredients being dumped.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed.
• Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order.
• Frequent pushing/pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
• Assists in stacking at the end of the line by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet; lifting 25–55 lbs continuously.
• Assists in bagging of product; pushes/pulls up to 55+ lbs; maintains packaging standards.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Maintains product integrity.
• Assists in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.

Job Summary:

Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders by dumping ready to package product to the Hopper on packaging lines.

Essential Functions:

• Verifies ingredients being Dumped
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed
• Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order.
• Frequent pushing / pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet. Requires lifting up to 25 – 55 lbs. continuously.
• Required to assist in bagging of product as needed. Requires pushing/pulling up to 55+ lbs. Maintains packaging standards.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Must maintain integrity of product.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary:

• Pay range from $19.18 -$22.57 an hour.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate packaging equipment, including scale and label printer.

Work Environment:

• The job is performed in the production area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
