Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a packaging operator to dump ready-to-package product to the hopper on packaging lines, ensuring accurate weighing and efficient throughput. The role requires lifting heavy loads and assisting with palletizing and inventory tasks in a production environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of packaging experience in food manufacturing and be able to operate scales and label printers while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate packaging equipment, including scale and label printer.

Responsibilities

• Dump product into hopper on packaging lines and verify ingredients.
• Assist in stacking, palletizing and loading boxes/bags onto pallets.
• Maintain packaging standards and complete necessary paperwork.
• Follow LOTO procedures during cleanup and maintain area cleanliness.
• Support inventory and cycle counts as needed.
• Adapt to other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary:

Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders by dumping ready to package product to the Hopper on packaging lines.

Essential Functions:

• Verifies ingredients being Dumped
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed
• Dumps blended ingredients or products into Hopper as per job order.
• Frequent pushing / pulling of drums weighing over 100 lbs.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/bags onto a pallet. Requires lifting up to 25 – 55 lbs. continuously.
• Required to assist in bagging of product as needed. Requires pushing/pulling up to 55+ lbs. Maintains packaging standards.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Must maintain integrity of product.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary:

• Pay range from $19.18 -$22.57 an hour.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate packaging equipment, including scale and label printer.

Work Environment:

• The job is performed in the production area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
