Barnhill Contracting Co. in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Dump Truck Driver to safely deliver asphalt, borrow material, excavation and stone base to multiple projects. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, a valid CDL Class B and a Medical Card, and is at least 19 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dump truck and deliver construction materials to projects on schedule.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Transport and unload asphalt, borrow material, excavation, and stone base.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with on-site safety rules.
• Coordinate with project teams and complete paperwork as required.

When you join the Barnhill team, you become part of the Barnhill Family.**Job Description:**Operates a dump truck and safely deliver construction material such as asphalt, borrow material, excavation and stone base to various projects.**Job Duties & Responsibilities:*** Operate a dump truck but not limited to that type of truck.* Must be able to perform pre-trip inspection on truck.* Transport and deliver construction materials to projects in a timely manner.* May perform other duties or operate other types of trucks.* Must have adequate reading and writing skills because some paperwork is required.**Minimum Qualifications & Training:*** One year experience but will train the right person.* Must have a minimum of a CDL Class B* Valid Medical Card* Must be at least 19 years old.* Ability to abide by precise instructions.* Ability to abide by strict but necessary safety rules and polices.* Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player.* Must maintain a good attendance and safety record.**Tasks Essential to Job Functions:*** Standing and walking required. Able to drive for long periods and ability to stay alert and drive defensively.
