Job summary

Bi-Bett Corporation in Pittsburg/Brentwood, CA seeks qualified counselors for both part-time and full-time roles. Qualifications

• Experience working in alcohol and/or drug recovery programs.
• Certified Addiction Counselor.
• Ability to conduct alcohol/drug educational classes for up to 35 students.
• Knowledge of recovery terminology and processes.
• Good written and verbal communication; cultural sensitivity.
• Medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Teach weekly, evening, and/or Saturday classes and facilitate groups.
• Facilitate private individual face to face meetings with students.
• Maintain monthly or daily student progress notes.
• Other duties as required.

Bi-Bett Corporation, a California non-profit engaged for the past 50 years in the treatment and recovery of adults with primary substance use and co-occurring disorders alcohol or other drug problems. Originally based in Contra Costa County, Bi-Bett now operates residential and outpatient programs in Alameda and Solano Counties, as well as Recovery Residences. We have sites in Vallejo, Pittsburg, Walnut Creek, Brentwood, and Hayward.The Bi-Bett Mission: To provide effective and affordable human services to individuals, families and communities with alcohol and drug related problems in the belief that everyone has value and can grow through change if given one’s rightful opportunity to choose.
