Job summary

Russell Tobin seeks a Due Diligence Transaction Manager to support residential mortgage purchase, sale and securitized transactions, coordinating with trading desk, legal, compliance and finance to ensure data integrity and timely closing.

The role requires 4–5 years in mortgage due diligence, strong Excel abilities, knowledge of TRID/QM/ATR, and excellent written and verbal communication. This is a full-time role in Dallas, TX with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of mortgage industry experience specifically in due diligence, underwriting and mortgage originations.
• Knowledge/familiarity with current mortgage and compliance laws and regulations.
• Advanced excel skills and ability to work in varied systems.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage components of the overall due diligence process on purchase and sale transactions (credit and compliance underwriting, data integrity, valuation) and summarise results with appropriate stakeholders
• Support the due diligence process related to Securitized Transactions
• Understanding of Prime and Non-QM loans with complex sources of income, multiple layers of assets, high level of credit utilisation
• TRID and QM/ATR proficiency
• Familiar with fraud detection techniques and resolution
• Excellent understanding of underwriting guides
• Track and resolve collateral exceptions with third-party custodians

The Junior Transaction Deal Manager will be responsible for assisting the Transaction Manager with the management and support of the company's residential mortgage purchase, sale and securitized transactions. The candidate will support the overall due diligence coordination and deal management of bulk and flow purchase transactions. The ability to successfully manage internal and external relationships is critical to this role. The position requires experience in the mortgage industry, bulk whole loan purchase/sale transactions, and flow whole loan purchases. This position will have high-level interaction with internal parties including the trading desk, legal, compliance, contract finance and external parties including buyers/sellers, rating agencies, and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:
