Job summary
AC Corporation, in Greensboro, NC, part of Crete United, is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Fabrication team. You will fabricate ductwork and related components, reading blueprints and setting up equipment to support HVAC projects.
The role requires MIG/TIG welding, handling various tools and lifts, and the ability to work overtime as needed. We offer competitive pay, vacation, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) match.
Qualifications
- Weld to qualified procedures using MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW).
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Able to pass MIG/TIG weld tests on stainless, carbon, galvanized and aluminum.
- Operate hand tools, lifts, forklifts and rigging as required.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate ductwork and air distribution components for HVAC projects.
- Locate, measure and outline installation areas from drawings.
- Drill holes, attach brackets and hangers; fabricate fittings.
- Set up equipment such as coils, fans and humidifiers.
- Operate shears, brakes, rollers, plasma cutters and grinders.
- Work overtime when needed (evenings/weekends).
