Job summary

AC Corporation is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Fabrication team in Raleigh, NC. This is a hands-on role focusing on MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to fabricate custom equipment from drawings.

You will read blueprints, cut and form material, and contribute from start to finish. The role may require up to 25% travel and a strict safety/ PPE discipline.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of TIG/MIG welding (stainless steel & aluminum a plus).
• Must have worked in a sheet metal shop.
• Knowledge of weld symbols.
• Must have at least 2 years of metal fabrication experience.
• Understand blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean up welds (wire brush/grinders)
• May use forklift to move material

AC Corporation is looking for an experienced Welder to join our Fabrication team in Raleigh, NC.

This is a hands-on welding and fabrication position for someone who enjoys building things and takes pride in quality work. You'll use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding while working with a variety of metals to fabricate custom equipment and components.

This isn't a production-line welding job. Our welders work from drawings, take measurements, cut and form material, and help build products from start to finish.

What You'll Do

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent walking, bending, and squatting
• Ability to work in both hot and cold shop environments
• Ability to safely wear required PPE, including welding helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective gloves

Our Fabrication team works on a variety of custom products and projects, including:

• Ductwork
• Scrubbers
• Pipe stands
• Fan bases
• Platforms and permanent ladders
• Other custom-fabricated metal components
