Atlanta Dash / AtlCartage Calhoun GA is seeking a dependable Straight Truck Driver and Operations Support to join our Transportation & Operations team. This role blends DOT-regulated driving with office dispatch and coordination duties.

You will drive city and highway routes, complete logs, assist with dispatch, review routes, respond to emails, and cover the Terminal Manager when needed. A strong safety mindset and good computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles operated.
• Clean driving record per company requirements.
• DOT/FMCSA qualification and medical certification requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Basic computer proficiency (email, internet, data entry).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with company procedures.
• Professional attitude and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company commercial vehicles under DOT regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and hours-of-service records.
• Follow routes, schedules, and dispatch directions.
• Ensure freight is secured, transported, and delivered on time.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays and issues.
• Cover Terminal Manager duties when needed.
• Assist with dispatching loads and reviewing driver routes.
• Maintain transportation records and documentation.
• Provide office support and respond to emails and calls as needed.
