Job summary

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a dedicated educator to split responsibilities between teaching high school Special Education and consulting as a Behavior Intervention Specialist for elementary students in a single, full-time role.

The position emphasizes collaboration with school teams, development of behavior plans, and ensuring programs align with district standards. Maple Grove area school district duties apply during the regular school day.

Qualifications

Minnesota Teaching License required; candidates must hold a Tier 3 or Tier 4 license in Special Education.
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher and/or Behavior Specialist within school settings.
Expertise in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans.
Strong collaboration skills to partner with teachers on positive behavioral supports and strategies.
Ability to adapt to changing needs across multiple grade levels and settings.

Responsibilities

Teach and support high school students in the mornings as part of an engaged teaching crew.
Serve as a Behavior Intervention Specialist in the afternoon, consulting with elementary staff to enhance classroom management and foster supportive learning environments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
Provide guidance and professional development on behavior management to fellow educators.
Maintain thorough documentation and ensure programs align with district and state requirements.
