Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Network Engineer to join our Langley AFB team. The Dual-Role Network & Cloud Architecture Engineer will design, manage, and secure WAN, CAN, and multi-cloud environments across DCGS and ISR facilities.

The role blends traditional networking with cloud architecture, driving hybrid connectivity, performance, and security while ensuring operational integrity in a government context. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 5+ years of related experience.
• 7+ years of network engineering and integration experience.
• 2+ years cloud integration experience.
• TS/SCI clearance is required.
• CCNA or CompTIA Cloud+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and manage scalable, secure cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or hybrid/multi-cloud).
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of physical networking devices, VPCs, cloud gateways, routers, and switches.
• Provide troubleshooting and support for network and cloud connectivity across core, cloud-hosted, and remote locations.
• Ensure security and compliance with government protocols and DCGS requirements.
• Lead installation, configuration, and migration of CAN/WAN equipment and cloud resources; maintain diagrams and baselines.
