Job summary

New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. is seeking an Instructional Coach/ Site Leader for the String Theory School in Philadelphia, PA.

The role combines coaching tutors with site leadership, reporting to the Program Manager, and ensuring the tutoring program runs smoothly with strong partner relationships. The position supports embedded tutoring for pre-K to 8 students, up to 12 hours per week, and requires experience in teaching, leadership, and Google Suite proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching or counseling certification where applicable.
• Experience coaching staff and overseeing tutor performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tutor performance and program logistics at the site.
• Review tutor lesson plans and attendance records weekly.
• Collaborate with district/community partners to build relationships.
• Provide feedback to tutors and lead data-driven instruction.
• Schedule coordination and staff issue escalation to Program Manager.
• Ensure tutors have required materials and training completion.
