Job summary

The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. seeks an Instructional Coach to oversee tutor performance and the program’s logistics across school partnerships in Camden, NJ. The role involves supporting tutors, reviewing lesson plans, and maintaining attendance records.

Flexible, part-time position (up to 6 hours per week) at Leap Academy Charter School, with potential for ongoing site support and staff coaching responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Standard certificate, CE, or CEAS.
• Proven coaching experience in public or charter schools.
• Experience teaching in a classroom setting.
• Experience supervising staff and giving feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with site staff and community partners.
• Ensure tutors have necessary materials for student support.
• Review tutor lesson plans and complete OJT checklists.
• Submit digital records of attendance and rosters.
• Participate in weekly coaching meetings with tutors.
• Manage tutor schedules and coverage.
• Report staff issues to Program Manager and assist in resolution.
• Observe tutoring sessions and provide feedback to tutors.
• Assist tutors with data-driven instruction using iReady.
