Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Central New York and Jewish Foundation of Central New York seek a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead both organizations, advancing their missions and strengthening Jewish life in Central New York.

Reporting to the boards, the CEO will guide strategy, fundraising, operations, and partnerships with donors, synagogues, and community partners, while balancing two fiduciary bodies and fostering a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Proven ability to set and articulate a compelling vision and translate priorities into action.
• Strong track record in major gifts and donor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Set a clear strategic direction for both the Federation and Foundation with their boards.
• Provide leadership across programs, operations, finance, fundraising, communications, and administration.
• Balance governance and fiduciary responsibilities while fostering alignment between the two organizations.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing professional team, promoting inclusion and collaboration.
• Lead major donor solicitation, campaigns, endowments, and donor-advised funds growth.
