Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking an experienced Dual-Language Special Education Elementary Teacher to join our team in Aurora Public Schools, Colorado. The role supports a new bilingual magnet school opening with PK–1 and future grade levels, delivering instruction in Spanish and English at the K–1 level.

The position emphasizes IEP-driven instruction, collaboration with general education staff, and ongoing assessment to promote student growth within an in-person school setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• English language proficiency.
• Experience with special education instruction and case management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized instruction to meet the unique needs of each K–1 student with an IEP
• Manage a special education caseload, including IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to promote growth and achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff in a dual-language (Spanish/English) setting
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, families, and school staff to support student success
• Stay current with best practices and research in special education

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team in Aurora Public Schools. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ learning and development within the school setting.

Job Description:

Strides Therapy is partnering with Aurora Public Schools to find a dedicated Special Education Teacher for Escuela Bilingüe Betty Benavidez, a new dual-language magnet school opening this year with PK–1st grade and adding one grade level each year. Instruction is delivered in both Spanish and English.

Additional Details:

Expected Hours: 7.5 hours per day; 37.5 hours per week
Workplace Setting: In-person school
Number of Hires: 1

• Location: Escuela Bilingüe Betty Benavidez
• Grades Supported: K–1 special education students
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Elementary (K–1) experience preferred
